Thank you to everyone that have been able to attend our Lunch and Learn group training sessions! Each Lunch and Learn spotlights one of the IT tools provided to our faculty and staff and provides a personalized and interactive group training. If you missed any of our previous sessions, or wish to revisit any of the covered topics, recordings of the events are available in the link below.

We are excited to announce that our November Lunch and Learn session will cover Blackboard for instructors. This technical training will cover the basic steps to setup and manage a course that can be easily accessed by students. Our training will be focused on getting the most out of the Blackboard software and will not entail any discussion of course design or pedagogy.

The Blackboard training session will occur on Friday, November 19th at 1 PM ET and will explain how to:

  • Log in and manage your account
  • Set up and manage courses
  • Interact with students through Blackboard
  • Create and manage assignments and tests
  • Use Safe Assign and Grading Center
  • Use Blackboard to set up and access Zoom meetings

While these training sessions are open to all FDU faculty and staff, advance registration is required. We invite you to register below.

If you watched or attended any of our previous sessions, your feedback can help us to shape and develop the Lunch and Learn series. To participate in our brief five-question survey, please visit the link below. It will only take a couple minutes of your time and your opinions would be invaluable to us.

If you have any questions regarding the series or if you would like to suggest a topic for a future training session, please contact the Lunch & Learn team at fdulearning@fdu.edu.
