Thank you to the faculty and staff members that have been able to attend our Lunch and Learn group training sessions! Each Lunch and Learn spotlights one of the IT tools provided to our faculty and staff and provides a personalized and interactive group training.

Our last session covered the basics of the popular Microsoft Excel application. We are excited to announce that our July session, Microsoft Excel – Level 200, will continue where we left off and allow us to delve into some slightly more advanced topics.

In order to get the most out of our level 200 session, users will need an understanding of the basic features of Excel. All users that attended our Level 100 session are perfect candidates for the Level 200 session. Any individuals that regularly use more advanced Excel features and feel comfortable navigating the application will greatly benefit as well. Employees that do not fit into these categories can still watch a recording our Excel Level 100 session to catch up. As with all of our Lunch and Learn series, it is available at below.

Our Microsoft Excel training will occur on Thursday, July 8th at 11AM ET and will help you to:

  • Learn key pre-built formulas known as functions
  • Understand Cell Formatting and Conditional Formatting
  • Create Pivot Tables and analyze the data
  • Learn about Excel Restrictions to protect and lock cells, worksheets and workbooks
  • Check on Excel accessibility options

While these training sessions are open to all FDU faculty and staff, advance registration is required. We invite you to register below.

If you watched or attended any of our previous sessions, your feedback can help us to shape and develop the Lunch and Learn series. It will only take a couple minutes of your time and your opinions would be invaluable to us. To participate in our brief five-question survey, please visit:

If you have any questions regarding the series or if you would like to suggest a topic for a future training session, please contact the Lunch & Learn team at fdulearning@fdu.edu.
