The OIRT team officially launched SAMI Support on March 13th, and we are happy to report that all support requests created since the launch have been successfully working their way through this new platform.

How do I access SAMI Support?

Sami Support can be accessed by visiting samisupport.fdu.edu from your desktop browser or mobile device. In addition, you can get quick access to SAMI Support via the support button on it.fdu.edu as well as a desktop icon on all FDU-issued computers.

Where do I learn more?

If you missed our training and want to learn the best ways to use the new system, you can view our training videos by clicking the link below, or by clicking on the How to use SAMI Support tile located directly on the homepage of the SAMI Support Portal.

I’m Tech Stressed!

SAMI Support branded stress balls, shown below, are available at the computer labs in Dickinson Hall and the Dreyfuss Building. Additionally, our Computing Services staff and Office of Academic Technologies personnel will be handing them out as they provide field service. Be sure to ask for one.

What does it look like so far?

Last week, 15% of new requests came in through the SAMI Support Portal, while 44% of ticket requests were still called in through (973)-443-8822 and another 27% arrived via email to fdutac@fdu.edu.  That’s ok for starters, but we fully expect the SAMI Support number to grow since the quickest and best experience is to open requests and interact with your technician through SAMIsupport.fdu.edu.
