Students: WebAdvisor to Self Service

Students, support for WebAdvisor will be ending at the end of June. We have been aggressively working for the last year to configure and test Colleague Self Service to replace WebAdvisor. Self Service is a more modern interface, which is very user friendly and easy to navigate. If you have viewed your grades or have updated your FDU Alert information recently, you have already worked within Self Service to complete these actions. Our current plan is to end WebAdvisor and move completely to Self Service in mid-to-late March in preparation for priority registration for Fall 2022 in early April.

As we finalize plans for the migration to Self Service, we are offering the following live Zoom trainings:

Topics for Faculty & Staff Training

  • Viewing your Degree Audit
  • Searching the Course Catalog
  • Registering for Classes
  • Viewing your Financial Activity
  • Viewing your Grades
  • Downloading your Unofficial Transcript
  • Requesting a Transcript
  • Applying for Graduation
  • Setting up your FDU Alert
  • Viewing / Adding a Proxy
  • Updating FERPA Releases

I encourage you to attend one of these sessions. If you are unable to attend, we will provide a link to a recorded session.

Once we determine an official go-live date, I will update all of you.

For students on our Vancouver Campus, there will not be any changes to your registration and advising process since you have already been using Student Planning in Self Service. I would still recommend attending one of the sessions to see the additional functionality in Self Service.

If you have any questions, please email webadvisoradmin@fdu.edu.
