Lunch and Learn Training: Excel – Level 100
- Posted:
- May 18, 2021
Thank you to the faculty and staff members that were able to attend our first Lunch and Learn group training session! Each Lunch and Learn spotlights one of the IT tools provided to our faculty and staff and provides a personalized and interactive group training. We had well over 100 faculty and staff members register for our first session, where a Microsoft training professional covered the basics as well as some of the finer points of Microsoft Teams. If you missed this session, or wish to revisit any of the covered topics, we made a recording of the event available below.
We are excited to announce that our May session will cover one of our most popular and essential applications, Microsoft Excel. This session, titled Microsoft Excel – Level 100, will include insight on this powerful spreadsheet app that lets you create, view, edit, and share files quickly and easily. Microsoft training professionals will teach you how to navigate Excel, organize data, and use basic formulas. Our June Lunch and Learn will be a continuation of Microsoft Excel training – Level 200, so please consider the Level 100 class as a ‘building block’ to advance your skills.
Our Microsoft Excel training will occur on Thursday, May 27th at 1PM ET and will help you to:
- Learn key terms and work with the help pane
- Navigate the Excel interface and view available options
- Enter, format, and organize data
- Analyze data using charts
- Understand the basics of functions and formulas
All skill levels are welcomed and appreciated. While these training sessions are open to all FDU faculty, staff, and educators, advance registration is required. Whether you are looking for a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel or you are a regular Excel user looking for some neat new tricks, we invite you to register below.
If you watched or attended our first session, your feedback can help us to shape and develop the Lunch and Learn series. Participate in our brief five-question Survey accessible below. It will only take a couple minutes of your time and your opinions would be invaluable to us.
If you have any questions regarding the series or if you would like to suggest a topic for a future training session, please contact Christopher and Coralia at fdulearning@fdu.edu.
