FDU IT would like to announce the formal launch of two Microsoft tools into our collaboration toolkit.

Microsoft Teams is a powerful teamwork hub which is included with FDU’s Office 365 suite.  With Microsoft Teams, you and your FDU contacts can have real-time conversations over chat, host live video meetings, and securely share and collaborate on a host of different Office 365 file types.

For installation instructions and tutorials explaining the Microsoft Teams Chat functionality, follow the link below.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding more tutorials to the IT website on topics like Team creation, sharing files, scheduling meetings, and much more. We will send a Tech Alert to the community as new tutorials are posted. In the meantime, don’t be afraid to explore this intuitive application on your own.

Microsoft FindTime is an Outlook add-in which allows you to simplify the process of scheduling a meeting. FindTime uses the Outlook calendars of your proposed meeting’s participants to determine availability and then it holds a poll for members to vote on their preferred meeting time.

For instructions on using Microsoft FindTime functionality in Outlook, follow the link below.

As always, our University Technical Assistance Center is available at (973)-443-8822 and can answer any questions that you may have.
