Sculptris is a virtual sculpting software program, with a primary focus on the concept of modeling clay. Users can pull, push, pinch, and twist virtual clay. It is geared toward character sculpting and “organic” models. Sculptris has been discontinued by Pixologic Inc. and replaced with ZBrushCoreMini.

Trapcode Suite is a complete set of plugins used for 3D motion graphics and visual effects in After Effects. It uses particle emitters to create fire, water, smoke, snow and other organic visual effects with immortal particle grids, text and 3D forms.

VFX Suite offers a powerful toolkit for realistic visual effects composites in After Effects.

VLC media player is a free, open source software, designed to play videos and audio files. It supports a wide range of formats, including MPEG4, DivX, and WAV files. It is also able to convert between various media formats and allows users to customize their videos.

xNormal is a free program designed for the sole purpose of generating various kinds of texture maps from 3D meshes. xNormal allows you to generate normal, ambient occlusion, and displacement maps. xNormal includes an interactive 3D viewer (with advanced shaders and real-time soft shadows/glow effect), some Photoshop filters, and importers/exporters for 3ds Max and Maya.

ZBrushCoreMini is designed for new artists of all ages, with a streamlined interface that lets anyone jump right in and start sculpting without needing to spend time learning a bunch of menus, palettes, and settings. ZBrushCoreMini includes Sculptris Pro. This is a ground-up redesign of the tesselation sculpting system that put Sculptris on the map.
